Verizon iPhone unlock and eligibility check by IMEI

78,000+ orders completed · rejected orders are refunded automatically

Verizon's own policy locks a newly purchased phone for 60 days and then releases it automatically, so a Verizon device that is paid for, past the lock period and not reported lost or stolen needs no unlock service at all. The devices that do need help are the ones Verizon reports as Not Eligible: still inside the lock period, financed, or carrying a lost-or-stolen flag on the ESN. The Verizon Eligibility Check returns the model, Device Status, ESN Status, the Unlock Eligible verdict, purchase date, SIM-lock state and the activation policy (for example "US Verizon Locked Policy") in seconds, so you know which case you have before spending more.

For iPhones that are locked to Verizon with a clean ESN but reported Not Eligible, the eligibility conversion changes the Verizon eligibility flag to "Eligibility - Support Unlock"; it does not unlock the phone by itself, so the unlock is ordered, or requested from Verizon, afterwards. Clean and eligible Verizon iPhones can be unlocked by IMEI through the clean & eligible unlock. IMEIs that Verizon has blocked as lost or stolen go through Verizon Unbarring & Cleaning, which removes the report so the ESN reads clean; devices with a pending loan or an outstanding balance are rejected by it.

Orders are processed automatically 24/7, the API is open to resellers, and a rejected order is refunded to your balance in full. Prices for the Verizon services are shown after sign-in.

Typical time is the median of completed orders over the last 30 days; “—” means too few recent orders to measure.

Requirements

  • The IMEI (dial *#06# on the phone or see Settings > General > About).
  • Locked to Verizon USA (or a Verizon-network prepaid brand for the eligibility conversion): the Apple activation policy names the carrier, for example "US Verizon Locked Policy". Not sure? Run the Carrier + SIM-Lock check first.
  • Eligibility conversion: an iPhone locked to Verizon with a clean ESN (no lost-or-stolen report). A device from another carrier or one that is already eligible still consumes the order.
  • Unbarring & Cleaning: a Verizon IMEI reported lost or stolen or otherwise blocked; devices with a pending loan or outstanding balance are rejected.

How it works

  1. Run the Verizon Eligibility Check — Device Status, ESN Status, Unlock Eligible and the lock state arrive in seconds.
  2. Unlock Eligible: Eligible with a clean ESN — order the clean & eligible unlock, or request the unlock from Verizon.
  3. Not Eligible with a clean ESN — order the Not Eligible to Eligible conversion, wait for the reply "Eligibility - Support Unlock", then order the unlock.
  4. Blocked ESN — order Verizon Unbarring & Cleaning first; cleaning changes the blacklist status only, so the unlock is a second order. Rejected orders are refunded automatically.

Frequently asked questions

What does "Unlock Eligible: Not Eligible" mean?

Unlock Eligible follows Verizon's own rules: devices inside the 60-day lock period, financed, or blacklisted show Not Eligible. Device Status reports lost or stolen flags separately, and ESN Status shows whether the ESN is clean.

What does the "Not eligible to eligible convert" service do?

It changes the unlock eligibility of a Verizon-locked iPhone with a clean ESN. The reply confirms the model, IMEI, purchase date, lock state and the new eligibility: "Eligibility - Support Unlock". It does not unlock the device; order a Verizon unlock (or request it from Verizon) afterwards.

Can a non-Verizon phone be checked?

The check always returns a result, but non-Verizon devices return only the lines Verizon holds (often just model, IMEI and status). That is a valid answer and not a refund case; run the Carrier + SIM-Lock check to see which network the phone is locked to.

Can a lost-or-stolen Verizon IMEI be cleaned?

Yes, if the block is a lost-or-stolen report or a similar flag: Verizon Unbarring & Cleaning removes the report so the ESN reads clean. Devices with a pending loan or an outstanding balance are rejected. Submitting an IMEI that is already clean or belongs to another carrier still consumes the order.

Does cleaning remove the SIM lock?

No. Cleaning changes the blacklist status only; it does not SIM-unlock the device. Once the ESN is clean, run the eligibility check and then order the unlock.

Why are the prices hidden?

The Verizon services are priced for registered resellers; the price of each service is shown on its page after sign-in. Registration is free and the balance is only charged when you place an order.

What happens if the order is rejected?

A rejected order is refunded to your balance automatically, in full. Once submitted the order is processed automatically and cannot be cancelled.

The official route

Verizon's device unlocking policy locks a newly purchased phone for 60 days after activation and then removes the lock automatically, without a request; devices sold by Verizon's prepaid brands follow the same 60-day rule. A phone that is past that period, paid for and not reported lost or stolen is already unlocked, or will be, free of charge, and you can confirm it in Settings > General > About ("No SIM restrictions") or with the eligibility check above. The services on this page are for the Not Eligible cases — the lock period, financing, a blocked ESN — and for resellers who need the eligibility answer in seconds and in bulk.
