AT&T IMEI Unlock — every AT&T status, one place

78,000+ orders completed · rejected orders are refunded automatically

AT&T does not unlock every phone, and the reason it refuses is always a status attached to the IMEI. Unlocks.Site offers a separate AT&T unlock service for each of those statuses, so you pay for the path that matches your device instead of guessing. The clean unlock covers AT&T USA, AT&T Prepaid and Cricket devices with no unpaid balance, no lost-or-stolen report and no active account; it also reports the status back when the device holds a blocking flag.

Devices that are still on another customer's account go through the Active Line service, phones sold within the last 60 days through the DEVICE_SOLD_DATE_60_DAYS service, closed lines through No Longer Active, and Account2_Locked and Account_Past_Due_Payments have their own queues. For IMEIs AT&T has blocked as lost or stolen there is an unbarring service that clears the report at the carrier and in the GSMA database.

Every order is processed automatically, 24/7, with the result posted to your account and emailed; iPhones come back Unlocked, non-Apple phones receive an unlock code in the reply, and a rejected order is refunded to your balance automatically, in full. All services are available through the API for resellers.

Typical time is the median of completed orders over the last 30 days; “—” means too few recent orders to measure.

Requirements

  • The IMEI (dial *#06# on the phone or see Settings > General > About).
  • The device must be locked to AT&T USA or AT&T Prepaid (Cricket is accepted by the clean service); the Apple activation policy names the carrier. Not sure? Run the Carrier + SIM-Lock check first.
  • The AT&T status must match the service you order: clean, Active Line, DEVICE_SOLD_DATE_60_DAYS, No Longer Active, Account2_Locked or Account_Past_Due_Payments. The clean unlock reports the status when it cannot unlock, so it doubles as a status check.
  • Supported models: iPhone (all models; Past Due service covers iPhone 14–17 dual-SIM) and generic / non-Apple devices.

How it works

  1. Create an account and top up the balance.
  2. Open the service that matches the AT&T status and paste the IMEI (bulk input is supported on most services).
  3. The order is sent to the source automatically and polled until a result arrives.
  4. iPhones: restart with a non-AT&T SIM, the device is Unlocked. Non-Apple phones: enter the code from the reply. Rejected orders are refunded in full automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Which AT&T phones can be unlocked here?

iPhones of all models and generic (non-Apple) devices locked to AT&T USA or AT&T Prepaid. The clean unlock also accepts Cricket USA devices. Each service page lists the models it supports.

How do I know the AT&T status of my IMEI?

Order the clean unlock + check status service: if the device is clean it is unlocked, otherwise the reply reports the blocking status (Active Line, DEVICE_SOLD_DATE_60_DAYS, Account2_Locked, past due, lost or stolen, NOT_SUPPORTED). Then pick the matching service.

What does DEVICE_SOLD_DATE_60_DAYS mean?

AT&T flags devices sold within the last 60 days. Such a phone is otherwise clean but AT&T will not unlock it yet. The dedicated DEVICE_SOLD_DATE_60_DAYS service handles exactly this status; any other status (unpaid, past due, lost or stolen, Account2_Locked) is rejected by it as NOT_SUPPORTED.

What is an "Active Line" device?

The IMEI is still active on another AT&T account. The Active Line service accepts this status; Account2_Locked, Fraud and lost-or-stolen statuses are rejected. There is also an automatic 24/7 variant that accepts both Active Line and DEVICE_SOLD_DATE_60_DAYS.

Can a lost-or-stolen (blacklisted) AT&T IMEI be unlocked?

Not by the unlock services. The AT&T unbarring service removes the lost-or-stolen report so the IMEI reads clean in GSMA; fraud-flagged devices are not supported, and iPhone 16/17 series use the dedicated 16/17 unbarring service. Unbarring does not SIM-unlock the device and does not clear unpaid balances; allow up to 24 hours for the GSMA database to update, then order the unlock.

How long does an AT&T unlock take?

It depends on the status: the clean unlock typically completes in minutes, status-specific services take hours to a few days. Each service page shows the current median time measured on real orders.

What happens if the unlock is rejected?

A rejected order is refunded to your balance automatically, in full. Submitting the wrong carrier, an unsupported model or an already unlocked IMEI still consumes the order, so check the carrier first.

Can I cancel the order?

No. Once submitted the order is processed automatically and cannot be cancelled.

The official route

AT&T unlocks eligible devices itself, free of charge, through its Device Unlock portal at att.com/deviceunlock: the phone must be paid off, not reported lost or stolen, not active on another customer's account and past AT&T's waiting period after purchase (the DEVICE_SOLD_DATE_60_DAYS status is exactly that period). If your IMEI meets those conditions, the official request costs nothing. The services on this page exist for the statuses AT&T turns down — Active Line, sold within 60 days, closed lines, Account2_Locked, past-due accounts, lost-or-stolen reports — and for resellers who need automated, bulk and API processing.
